ROY A. RAHN, a Board Certified Protection Professional, is a senior account supervisor and the director of association management for FSB Core Strategies, overseeing its association management accounts. Prior to his current position, he was most recently the vice president of risk management and compliance for Universal Protection Service, the eighth largest security company in the U.S.

A graduate of California State University Long Beach, Mr. Rahn has over 28 years’ experience in both contract and proprietary security management. Before entering the private sector, he served 11 years in public law enforcement. Additionally, he retired from the United States Naval Reserve with the rank of Commander, and is a graduate of the United States Naval Justice School. He has also been an Adjunct Professor and Instructor in the Criminal Justice Departments at Golden West and El Camino Colleges.

Mr. Rahn was the president of the California Association of Licensed Security Agencies, Guards and Associates (CALSAGA), the statewide organization which represents the contract private security industry in California. Further, he was the vice-chairman of the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Advisory Board. BSIS is the state board responsible for regulating the security industry.

He has also been an active member of ASIS International. He is a twice past chairman of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter, a former Region III vice president and a trustee of the ASIS International Foundation.  He also previously served as an internal consultant and co-coordinator of organizational development for the Higher Education Management Institute Project at CSULB, in various PTA board positions, and is a former School Site Council president for the Temecula Valley Unified School District.

Mr. Rahn resides in Temecula, California with his wife, Laurie, and they have three children, Jacob, Hayden, and Claire.
